Dr Malou Contest Rules
Celebrating 4,000 followers on Instagram.
Organizer and nature of the contest
1. The organizer and sponsor of the "4,000 followers with Dr Malou" contest, hereinafter referred to as the "Contest", is Dr Malou sp. z o.o. with its registered office at pl. Kaszubski 8/311, 81-350 Gdynia, Tax ID (NIP) 5862410359, KRS 0001130043, hereinafter referred to as the "Organizer". Contact regarding the Contest and personal data: bok@drmalou.pl
2. The contest takes place exclusively on Instagram, on the Organizer's official profile @dr.malou.naturalnie, under the post announcing the Contest, referred to as the "Contest Post". Link to the Contest Post: dr.malou.naturalnie.
3. The contest involves the selection of the best responses by a jury appointed by the Organizer. Awarding prizes is based on the evaluation of entries according to these rules, without a draw or other random selection mechanisms.
4. Participation is free and does not require the purchase of products. The contest constitutes a public promise of a reward for the best response, under the terms of Art. 919–921 of the Civil Code.
Deadlines
1. Entries can be submitted from 15.09.2026 to 30.09.2026, 23:59. All deadlines refer to the time applicable in Poland, in the Europe/Warsaw time zone.
2. The results will be announced no later than 08.10.2026 in the Organizer's comment under the Contest Post. Additionally, they may be published in a story on the same profile.
3. The rules are available free of charge from the start of the Contest at the address [LINK DO REGULAMINU], indicated in the Contest Post or in the profile bio, in a format that allows for saving.
Participants
1. The Contest is open to natural persons who are at least 18 years old, have full legal capacity, reside in Poland, and use their own Instagram account in accordance with the service's terms.
2. The contest is intended exclusively for followers of the profile @[NAZWA PROFILU]. You must be following the profile at the time of entry and remain a follower until the results are announced. People who start following during the Contest may also participate.
3. Members of the jury, persons directly involved in its organization, and their spouses, partners, parents, children, and siblings may not participate in the Contest.
4. One person may enter only once and in only one category, using one account. A person who has both a dog and a cat chooses the category in which they wish to participate.
Contest task
1. To participate, you must follow the Organizer's profile within the period indicated in section 2 and post a comment directly under the Contest Post in which the participant: (a) answers the question "What do you like most about the Dr Malou brand?", and (b) writes whether they have a dog or a cat, indicating the category "DOG" or "CAT". A person who owns both animals must clearly indicate one category.
2. The entry should be prepared independently by the participant and relate to the contest question. It must not violate the law, copyrights, personal rights, or contain offensive, discriminatory content or third-party data without authorization to disclose it.
3. You do not need to like the Contest Post, share it, tag other people, or send a photo of the animal. The number of likes on a comment does not affect the evaluation.
4. In the case of multiple comments from the same person, the jury evaluates the first one that meets the requirements. Entries submitted after the deadline, without an answer, or without a clear category will not be evaluated. It is possible to complete an entry until the submission deadline.
5. The comment must remain accessible to the Organizer until the results are announced. The Organizer evaluates its content as it stands at the close of submissions. The account does not have to be public, provided it is possible to check the comment and the profile follow status. In case of doubt, the Organizer may ask for confirmation of the follow condition.
6. Publishing an entry means entering the Contest under the terms of the rules. A participant may withdraw their entry before the results are announced by informing the Organizer via private message.
Jury and selection of winners
1. The Organizer appoints a jury of at least three people, designating its chairperson. A juror does not evaluate the entry of a person with whom there is a conflict of interest; in such a situation, the Organizer appoints a substitute.
2. The jury evaluates the "DOG" category and the "CAT" category separately. Each juror awards each valid entry from 0 to 5 points for each criterion: originality of the statement, ingenuity of the way the answer is presented, and the concreteness and relevance of the justification referring to the Dr Malou brand. The maximum score from one juror is 15 points.
3. In each category, the entry with the highest total score wins. In the event of a tie, the higher total score for originality decides, followed by the score for the concreteness and relevance of the justification. If a tie remains, the chairperson selects the better answer based on the same criteria and records the justification in the minutes.
4. Two different people will be selected: one in the "DOG" category and one in the "CAT" category. The jury creates a ranking of entries in each category and an evaluation report. If no valid entry is received in a category, the prize in that category will not be awarded.
5. The Organizer may reject an entry only due to a specific violation of the rules. Upon the participant's request, the Organizer will provide the justification for its rejection or the evaluation result, without disclosing non-public data of other persons. The jury's evaluation does not exclude the right to file a complaint or pursue claims.
Prizes
1. The prize in the "DOG" category is one set including one package of each of the following products:
a) Chicken with pumpkin – freeze-dried complete food for adult dogs, 500 g;
b) Capelin (smelt) 100% – freeze-dried treat for dogs and cats, 80 g;
c) Tuna 100% – freeze-dried treat for dogs, 50g.
Gross value of the dog set: 125.49 PLN.
2. The prize in the "CAT" category is one set including one package of each of the following products:
a) Chicken with salmon – freeze-dried complete food for adult cats, 500g;
b) Capelin (smelt) 100% – freeze-dried treat for dogs and cats, 80g;
c) Chicken with barley grass – freeze-dried treat for cats, 50g.
Gross value of the cat set: 148.79 PLN.
3. The Organizer covers shipping costs within Poland. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or another set at the winner's request. This does not limit statutory rights related to prize defects.
Announcement of results and distribution of prizes
1. The Organizer will publish the names of the winners' accounts and their assigned categories and will contact them via private message from the profile @dr.malou.naturalnie.
2. Within 7 calendar days of the announcement of the results, the winner must confirm acceptance of the prize via private message and provide their full name, delivery address in Poland, and contact details necessary for delivery. If legally required, they must also provide data necessary for tax settlement. This data should not be published in comments.
3. In the absence of a response, refusal to accept the prize, or confirmed failure to meet the participation conditions, the prize passes to the next person in the ranking of the same category. The Organizer will announce the change under the Contest Post. The next winner has 7 days from such announcement and the sending of the message to provide their details. If the ranking is exhausted, the prize remains unawarded.
4. The Organizer will ship the prize within 14 calendar days of receiving complete, correct data and confirmation of eligibility for the prize. In case of delivery problems, the Organizer will contact the winner to clarify them.
5. The Organizer does not require a fee for receiving the prize or providing payment card details, account passwords, or BLIK codes.
Complaints
1. Complaints regarding the course of the Contest or the prizes can be submitted to the email address indicated in section 1 or in writing to the Organizer's address. You must provide the account name, a description of the case, and a contact method that allows for a response.
2. The Organizer will consider the complaint and provide a response within 14 days of its receipt. Using the complaint procedure is not a condition for pursuing claims in court. The rules do not shorten the statutory deadlines for pursuing claims.
Personal data
1. The administrator of the participants' data is the Organizer indicated in section 1. Contact regarding data protection: bok@drmalou.pl.
2. The administrator processes the account name, comment, information about following the profile, and correspondence, and in the case of winners, also data needed for shipping and potential tax settlement.
3. Data is used to conduct the Contest, evaluate entries, announce results, and issue prizes, based on Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR – a legitimate interest consisting of conducting the Contest and its transparent resolution. The same basis covers handling complaints and establishing, pursuing, and defending claims. Tax and accounting obligations are performed based on Art. 6(1)(c) of the GDPR in connection with relevant regulations.
4. Authorized jurors, IT, postal, courier, accounting, and legal service providers, as well as authorized public authorities, may receive access to data, solely to the necessary extent. The names of the winners' accounts and prize categories will be public. Comments are visible to Instagram users in accordance with the service's features.
5. Working data regarding entries will be stored until the end of the Contest and prize handling, and for an additional 3 months. After this time, the Administrator will retain only data necessary to fulfill legal obligations or regarding claims, until the expiry of appropriate statutory periods or the final conclusion of a dispute. Tax documentation will be stored for the period required by law, as a rule 5 years from the end of the year in which the tax payment deadline expired. The publication of results by the Organizer will be maintained for no longer than 12 months. The participant may delete their own comment, taking into account the conditions of participation.
6. The participant has the right to access their data, rectify it, delete it, and limit its processing, under the terms of the GDPR, as well as to object for reasons related to their particular situation to processing based on a legitimate interest. They may file a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
7. Providing data is voluntary, but data necessary for evaluating the entry and issuing the prize is a condition for participation and receiving the prize. Data required by tax regulations must be provided if the relevant obligation arises. The Administrator does not make decisions solely automatically and does not profile participants for the purposes of the Contest.
8. Instagram also processes data on its own terms as a separate administrator, including potentially transferring it outside the European Economic Area. The rules, bases for transfers, and user rights are described in Meta's privacy policy: https://privacycenter.instagram.com/policy/. By using Instagram to conduct the Contest, the Organizer uses Meta's infrastructure; detailed information about the security measures used for transfers can also be obtained at the Administrator's contact address.
9. Participation in the Contest does not imply consent to a newsletter or other additional marketing activities. The rules do not transfer copyrights to the comment to the Organizer. Using the statement in separate advertisements requires separate agreement with its author.
Instagram and final provisions
1. The contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram. The Organizer is solely responsible for its organization and prizes.
2. Each participant releases Instagram from liability related to the organization and conduct of the Contest, to the extent permitted by mandatory law. This provision does not exclude rights that cannot be excluded by the provisions of the rules.
3. The Organizer will not change the evaluation criteria or worsen the conditions of participation after the start of the Contest. Necessary corrections of obvious errors may be published along with an explanation, without violating the rights of participants.
4. In matters not regulated, Polish law applies, in particular the Civil Code and regulations on personal data protection. The rules do not exclude or limit the rights to which participants are entitled under mandatory provisions.
